As part of our key opinion leader interview series, we recently had the honor of interviewing denturist Jeremiah Naas. A customer of Renfert since the beginning of his career, Jeremiah provided us with some valuable insights into the future of the dental industry and why these products are integral to his practice.

Mastering the Art of Removable Prosthetics: Jeremiah Naas’s Specialization and Expertise

Jeremiah was brought up in the dental industry from a young age, with both of his parents working as dental professionals. His mom was a ceramist, and his dad was a removable prosthetics technician. His parents fostered an appreciation for excellence and passion for serving the dental needs of his community, and they passed that same appreciation and passion on to him.

When it came time for Jeremiah to begin a dental career of his own, he bought his parents’ removable prosthetics lab, Inverness Dental Arts in Inverness, Florida, and continued to operate it with them. When he went back to school to become a denturist, he also moved the lab to Maine before acquiring his license. Jeremiah continues to run the lab today as the primary denturist, with his main focus on the fabrication of removable prosthetics for patients.

Revolutionizing Dental Workflow: How Renfert Products Empower a Denturist’s Prosthetic Fabrication

With years of experience, Jeremiah understands the challenges facing dental professionals. His patients demand excellence—and he wouldn’t have it any other way. But to provide his patients with the results they want, he needs to depend on the highest-quality products. It’s why he’s trusted Renfert products since starting his practice.

We asked Jeremiah which Renfert products he utilized the most in his work, and he provided us with a list of products that help him deliver high-quality prosthetic fabrication.

Waxletric II

Jeremiah utilizes the Renfert Waxlectric II electric wax knife daily. In fact, he says he uses it all day, every day because it optimizes his workflow. A multi-user device with two handpieces with individual temperature-setting channels that can be adjusted, Waxlectric II ensures a controlled working process.

Renfert Model Trimmer (MT3)

Another vital tool Jeremiah uses in his practice on a daily basis is the MT3 Model Trimmer. The MT3 wet trimmer has one of the most powerful motors on the market. It provides easy guidance of the plaster model and has a safety mechanism that stops the water and motor if the door is accidentally opened while the machine is running.

Renfert Suction Systems (SILENT compact)

Another must-have Renfert tool for Jeremiah is a reliable suction system, like the SILENT compact single workbench extraction unit. This particular unit is compact and dustbag-free, which saves time and money, and has a low operating noise of max. 55 dB (A).

Unmatched Support and Exceptional Products: Why Our KOL Chooses Renfert

When we asked Jeremiah why he began using and continues to use Renfert products, he said, “First and foremost, it’s the service and support!”

We love that Jeremiah is pleased with the support our team provides, because customer service is among our highest priorities. We want the dentists, denturists, and lab techs who depend on our products to succeed. To do that, they need a great support system behind them.

Another reason Jeremiah works with us is that Renfert products are “outstanding and long-lasting,” like our SILENT compact suction system, which has a motor lifespan three times longer than conventional systems.

Jeremiah Naas’s Journey of Collaboration with Renfert

It was our optimal customer support that made Jeremiah’s decide to collaborate with us as a key opinion leader. During his time partnering with us, we’ve been able to help him expand his business by supporting his educational removable partial denture (RPD) courses. These courses help denturists of all levels learn the fundamentals of RPD fabrication.

Unleashing Potential: Exploring Promising Avenues for Growth in the Dental Industry

We asked Jeremiah about his vision for growth within our industry, and his response was that denturists need continuing education in analog techniques. While he doesn’t have anything against innovation, core knowledge about the fabrication of dental prosthetics is something that he’s seen denturists struggling with lately.

For instance, CAD/CAM technology is becoming more prominent in the dental industry. There’s a good reason for this. Studies have found that CAD/CAM technology has created new opportunities for providing excellent dental care. Although this technology is costly, and many struggle with the increased capital investment needed to implement as well as the learning curve associated with these new technologies, researchers believe that it will be utilized widely in the future.

However, it’s important to remember that a tool is simply that—a tool. It takes a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional to utilize the tool in a way that results in optimal and desired restorations. And to be a masterful technician, knowing and understanding the fundamentals of dental prosthetics fabrication is vital.
